Ashton Head of Cabinet denies influence of lobby

Rumours have been spreading rapidly after the appearance of High Representative Catherine Ashton at an event organised by the new Hungarian Presidency of the Council for the first half of 2011: nothing can justify the clothes worn by High Representative Ashton…except the fact that sources close to the Baroness have noticed an increasing number of contacts with the ACC, Association for Carpets and Curtains.

Asked for an official reaction, the High Representative declined to comment. Her Head of Cabinet, obviously under strain, did informally quip back to BJ reporters that: ‘If every time a Brit dresses poorly, you guys think it’s due to lobby interests, what must you be thinking when you seen the Queen wondering around!”. Touché.

Barroso refusing to look at a painful sight?

  2. Will Cathy’s relationship with the EP suffer again when they find out she’s got her eye on this little beauty…?
