French President unveils iPad killer in bid for EP market

In a bid to break the stronghold of American firms on the computer sector, the French have been working secretely at putting together the next iPad / netbook killer. Though only at prototype stage, the iNiCar (as a hommage to France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni) adds – or rather removes – the last frontier to user friendliness according to French scientist Jean de Mariecury: weight and sight. For in fact, the tablet is entirely invisible, except when wearing special glasses.

Sources close to the Elysee told BJ reporters that it was now expected that the European Parliament would end its folly of buying 736 iPad as recently reported, and would turn to this European alternative.

Journalists present at the presentation were impressed by the small size of the tablet, in relation to the president holding it. It is unclear when the device will be put on the market but Steve Jobs and Apple now clearly have some worrying to do! The main question however is how application creators and content publishers will react to the new device.
