Brown spotted on way to Buckingham Palace in helicopter stunt
Nothing truly unexpected in the fact that UK’s current Prime Minister Gordon Brown choose to go today to Buckingham Palace to ask the Queen to dissolve the UK Parliament ahead of elections.
Commentators followed step by step a black car which was said to bring PM Brown to the Queen for his audience.
But what few spotted (except the BJ reporters) was that Gordon decided to make a spectacular stunt of what should have been a relatively uneventful trip: as the pictures show, Brown was stuck outside a helicopter instead of enjoying the comfort of the leather seats of his limousine.
The BJ contacted Brown’s inner circle and asked if this stunt was aimed at getting the votes of young people and James Bond fans and if it indicated that Tony Blair had maybe become Gordon’s new campaign advisor. Though no one wanted to comment on the record, an embarrassed source close to Brown said that: “This is not the first time Mandy [Lord Mandelson] pulls a prank on Gordon…now obviously, the fact that the helicopter pilot was constantly swerving made it a bit dangerous but Gordon took it as the practical joke it was”.
