BRICs are wooing PIGS

As leaders from the world’s four biggest emerging economies –Brazil, Russia, India and China, gathered in Brasilia this Wednesday  for a two-day summit of the so-called BRIC countries, rumour quickly spread that other heads of state had been spotted in the Brasilian capital. News reports mainly talked about South Africa’s President Zuma, but leaders from Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain were also seen hovering around the 5-star hotel of the BRIC delegation. Though no one accepted to comment officially, the BJ was told by a well-informed source that “prior to G20, the BRICs are wooing the PIGs just to annoy the HOSHOMEMSTUS”. When we queried further, we discovered that the latter acronym refers to the “Hot Shot Member States & US” and not, as we initially thought, to a defunct Pharaoh or Egyptian God.
